How TerraMatch Supports Restoration Project Developers:

    Apply for Funding

We are working with dozen of funders who are eager to support locally led restoration projects. We host requests for proposals on TerraMatch when new capital is ready to be deployed.

    Find Support

TerraMatch is committed to support the growth of locally led restoration project developers. We host the application process for cohort-based accelerator programs looking for champions to level up their operations.

    Report + Monitor

Funders who are looking to invest in growing trees the right way rely on TerraMatch’s monitoring and reporting capabilities. The platform combines the best in field-collected data with cutting-edge satellite insights to track how investment in restoration impacts communities and ecosystems.

TerraFund for AFR100

A partnership of World Resources Institute, One Tree Planted, Realize Impact, and Barka Fund, TerraFund for AFR100 invested in Africa’s Top 100 locally led land restoration projects in 2022. Located across 27 member countries of the AFR100 Initiative, these community-based non-profits and enterprises received grants or loans of $50,000 to $500,000 each. In 2023, a new cohort joined, focused on Kenya's Greater Rift Valley, the Ghana Cocoa Belt, and the Lake Kivu & Rusizi River Basin in Burundi, DRC, and Rwanda. Local organizations apply for funding through TerraMatch, which then tracks their progress by combining field-collected data with insights from WRI’s Land & Carbon Lab.
